"My art is created without  contrived expectation, and has become
something that I am very passionate about.  I thoroughly enjoy doing
commissioned pieces that really seem to tie the place together.  Plus, it
beats the heck out of watching TV."

Artist, Quincy Wakefield resides in Austin, Texas.  His passion for painting
has heightened in recent years, enabling him to share his work on a public
scale.  He is self taught, and has enjoyed all aspects of art since childhood.  
A few years back, a close family friend requested some paintings.  This led
to a quite a few more pieces for friends and family members.  It was at this
point,  that he decided to put more time and energy into his painting.  He
has sold his work throughout Texas, and many pieces have been purchased
from outside of Texas.

His work combines elements of abstraction, surrealism, and expressionism,
as well as, many other ism's.  He is constantly working with different
techniques, medias, and applications.  Not one to be labeled, he
lightheartedly likes to refer to his style as, "Soulism".  Call it what you will.  
He will keep on painting.  He is working like mad, to establish a name for
himself, as a true artist that is only getting better.  

Quincy Wakefield's art is a direct reflection of his life and times.  He is
greatly influenced by his immense love of music, and tends to paint using a
wide array of colors and themes.  Thus, drawing inspiration from various
topics including:  Culture, nature, food, music, sports, everyday
objects/thoughts, and even, whatever.
